Obviously this is as light as you can get with roasted coffee. It has the highest caffeine content and acidity.
The ideal way to enjoy light roast is a breakfast coffee. It's not too heavy flavored and the higher caffeine will wake you up a little more.
Medium Roast
This is the most popular roast level for everyone. It's not too heavy, not too light. It also still has a good amount of caffeine content.
The ideal way to enjoy this is also a good breakfast coffee, but it's also good for fancier drinks like lattes and cappuccino.
Medium-Dark
Here is where you get the best of both worlds for flavor. You still enjoy the flavor of the coffee, but with the added caramelization from the additional roasting. Lower caffeine than medium and light.
Good for lunchtime coffee and espresso.
Dark Roast
At this level, you'll enjoy a nice roasted flavor from the caramelized sugars in the coffee. It's very heavy, but relatively low-caffeine.
Best for espresso and casual lunch or dinner coffee.
Very-Dark Roast
Here's as dark as it gets! Also known as a French roast. Lowest caffeine, heaviest flavor.
Ideal for espresso and regular coffee for those who like very dark roasts.
